Men's Basketball Season Ends in AMC Semifinals

Springfield, Mo. – Looking to advance to the American Midwest Conference championship game for the third consecutive season, Central Baptist College men’s basketball took on #15 Columbia College this afternoon in the AMC semifinals at the W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse. CBC saw their season come to an end at the hands of Columbia 78-67.

Dowell Fieldhouse. CBC (11-16) led at halftime, surrendered the lead and eliminated CRC (11-18) 79-73 in overtime.
Three Mustangs Earn All-Conference Honors

Chesterfield, Mo. – Three Central Baptist College men’s basketball players earned honors from the American Midwest Conference tonight at the pre-tournament banquet. Tyler Johnson, MacArthur Reed, Jr., and Caleb Knight were selected by the AMC for outstanding seasons.

Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Playing for the final time before next week’s American Midwest Conference tournament, Central Baptist College men’s basketball took on the Eagles of Williams Baptist University inside the Southerland Mabee Center. CBC (10-16, 7-7 AMC) led 34-28 at halftime but couldn’t hold on, falling 81-71 to WBU (20-4, 10-3 AMC).

Reddin Fieldhouse for the final time this season, Central Baptist College men’s basketball hosted the Crowley’s Ridge Pioneers in an American Midwest Conference contest. CBC (10-14, 7-5 AMC) shot 54 percent from the field and made 15 three pointers, beating CRC (10-15, 3-8 AMC) 91-79.

St. Louis, Mo. – Looking to come away with back-to-back road American Midwest Conference victories, Central Baptist College men’s basketball took on Harris-Stowe State this afternoon at the Emerson Performance Center. CBC (8-13, 5-4 AMC) trailed by nine early, but led by eight at halftime and shot 54 percent from the field for a 86-77 win over Harris-Stowe (4-16, 1-8 AMC), sweeping the Hornets this season.

St. Louis, Mo. – Looking to stop a two-game losing skid, Central Baptist College men’s basketball took on the Eutectics of UHSP tonight in an American Midwest Conference contest at UHSP Gymnasium. CBC (7-13, 4-4 AMC) never trailed, leading by as many as 23 in a 77-68 win over UHSP (3-17, 0-7 AMC) to sweep the season.
