Mustangs Fight Hard In Home Tri-Match

            Conway, Ark. – Hosting an American Midwest Conference tri-match for the first time this season, Central Baptist College volleyball took on the Stephens Stars and the Crowley's Ridge Pioneers at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse today. CBC (5-17, 4-5 AMC) dropped both matches in straight sets.

MATCH ONE – STEPHENS 3, CBC 0

            Stephens took the match by scores of 19-25, 17-25 and 21-25. Avary Smith led the way with 11 of CBC's 33 kills and also hit .233 while the team hit .126. Madeline Freeman had another double-double with 14 assists and 12 digs while Adalyn Dura had 13 assists and Kate Scroggins had 11 digs.

MATCH TWO – CRC 3, CBC 0

            Crowley's Ridge took the final match of the day by scores of 22-25, 19-25 and 17-25. Freeman led in assists again, this time with 10 while Ava White paced the squad in digs with 10. The Mustangs had 24 kills, seven aces and six total blocks in the match.

            CBC steps out of conference play for the final time this season on Tuesday night when they welcome the Philander Smith Panthers to Reddin Fieldhouse. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
