2022 Women's Soccer Season Preview

            Conway, Ark. – Coming off their second straight trip to the American Midwest Conference tournament, Central Baptist College women's soccer kicks off the 2022 season tomorrow afternoon against Paul Quinn College. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. in Dallas, Texas and a recap of the game will be available after tomorrow's match.

            CBC returns 12 players from last season's squad, led by all-conference selections Erica Hawkins and Bayleigh Williams. Joining them from last year are goalkeepers Bailey Walerczyk and Jayme Selph, midfielders Samara Hernandez, Josie Gelsthorpe, Jade Love and Ashley Hultquist, who is one of five seniors on the squad. The other returners include defenders Ciara Bonner and Marlee Lamoreaux to go with forwards Isabelle Pietrangelo and Julissa Arevalo.

            Six newcomers join the Mustangs this season, led by NorthArk transfer Kenzie Parker, who's older sister, Kaylee, played two years at CBC. The five freshman joining her are Lexie Sengmanivong from Fort Smith Southside, Sierra Victory from Vilonia, Karis Guthrie from Benton and Brazilians Amanda Parrerias and Vitoria Loiola.
