Conway, Ark. – Looking to upset the top team in the American Midwest Conference, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Columbia Cougars on homecoming at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (6-9, 3-4 AMC) led 33-29 at halftime but were outscored 52-26 in the second half to fall 81-59 to CC (16-2, 7-0 AMC).
Lexi Duck led the way with 21 points and 14 rebounds off the bench while Raigan Head had a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double and Riley Whittington chipped in with 10 points. CBC had the advantage at the free throw line and only committed 10 turnovers, but allowed 13 threes to go in for the Cougars while only making seven.
The Lady Mustangs are back at home on Thursday night for a rivalry tilt with Williams Baptist. Tipoff from Reddin Fieldhouse is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
