Head Earns AMC Offensive Player of the Week

            St. Louis, Mo. – For the first time this season, a Central Baptist College women's basketball player has earned recognition from the American Midwest Conference. Raigan Head was named AMC Offensive Player of the Week after two outstanding performances last week.

            Head averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Mustangs. In Tuesday's season opener at Blue Mountain Christian she scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds before following that up with a historic performance on Saturday, scoring 32 points and grabbing a single-game program record 20 rebounds in a 79-63 win over Champion Christian. Her 32 points were the fourth most in a single game in program history and her 12 made field goals tied her for third most.

            Head and the Mustangs play a pair of exhibition games this week against Division I schools, beginning at 5 p.m. tonight against Louisiana-Monroe and finishing Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Jack Stephens Center against Little Rock.
