Conway, Ark. – Playing their fourth consecutive game inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Comets of Cottey College in an American Midwest Conference matchup this afternoon. CBC (3-13, 2-9 AMC) trailed by 10 at halftime and nearly came back, scoring 26 in the fourth quarter before losing 66-56 to CC (13-8, 5-6 AMC).
Taryanna McNary was the lone Lady Mustang in double figures with 13 off the bench. Caroline Citty led the way in both rebounds with six and assists with five. CBC had more points off turnovers than the Comets and outscored them in the paint 18-12 but Cottey doubled up the Lady Mustangs in three pointers, 10-5, and were plus-nine at the free throw line, 22-13.
The five game homestand comes to an end on Tuesday night when CBC plays their final non-conference game of the season against the Bobcats of College of the Ozarks. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30.
