Conway, Ark. – Wrapping up the first half of American Midwest Conference play this afternoon, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Spartans of Missouri Baptist on Youth Group Day inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (3-11, 2-7 AMC) led early, but trailed at halftime and lost to MBU (6-12, 4-5 AMC) 84-51.
Olivia Lambrigtsen, Caroline Citty and Taryanna McNary all finished in double figures scoring, with Lambrigtsen leading the way with 15 points and Citty and McNary both chipping in with 11. MBU's offense caused CBC problems as they shot 50 percent from the floor compared to just 30 percent for CBC. The Lady Mustangs were also minus 14 on the glass, minus five in turnovers and minus 20 in points in the paint.
The second half of AMC play begins on Thursday night when CBC continues their homestand against the Columbia Cougars. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
