Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

Conway, Ark. – Playing at home for the second time in three nights, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange tonight in an American Midwest Conference game inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (2-7, 1-2 AMC) used strong defense and dominant rebounding to crush HLGU (4-7, 0-4 AMC) 74-35.

Caroline Citty led three Mustangs in double figures scoring, joined in that category by Lydia York and Olivia Lambrigtsen. CBC used their defense, which held HLGU to single digits in three of the four quarters, to run away early and never look back.

GAME FLOW

HLGU made the first basket of the night 22 seconds in to take a 2-0 lead and a three from York 55 seconds later made it 3-2 CBC and the Lady Mustangs would lead the rest of the way, crusing to a 20-12 lead at the end of one and a 38-18 lead at halftime after opening the second quarter with a 9-0 run over the first 3:28. The ballooned the 32 by the end of three quarters and got all the way to 43 points before settling at the final.
