Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

Conway, Ark. – Opening their 2023-24 season at home tonight, Central Baptist College women's basketball hosted the Tigers of Champion Christian College inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (0-1) couldn't slow down a potent CCC (3-0) offensive attack, trailing 44-24 at halftime before falling 91-62.

Caroline Citty had 17 points to lead the Mustangs while Kristan Hargrove had a career night, posting a career-high 15 points, including 9-10 at the free throw line. Taryanna McNary grabbed 11 rebounds in her Mustang debut, but it wasn't enough, as CBC got outrebounded 49-39 and out shot 40-32 percent from the field.

CBC will play their first road game of the season on Tuesday night when they head to Springfield, Mo., to take on the Baptist Bible Patriots. Tipoff from Dowell Fieldhouse is slated for 5:30 p.m.
