Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Playing on the road for the final time this season, Central Baptist College women's basketball was inside the Southerland Mabee Center today for an American Midwest Conference rivalry clash with the Eagles of Williams Baptist. CBC (9-14, 4-14 AMC) led early but couldn't capitalize, falling to WBU (16-10, 12-6 AMC) 86-52.
Caroline Citty and Diana Rivera were the only Lady Mustangs to finish in double figures scoring with 14 and 12 respectively while Rivera and Olivia Lambrigtsen were the co-leaders in rebounding with eight apiece. The Lady Mustangs committed only 12 turnovers compared to forcing 13 and outscored the Eagles both in points off turnovers (15-7) and second chance points (13-8).
CBC returns home on Thursday night for Senior Night at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse against the Stars of Stephens College. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
