Lady Mustangs Open 2022 At Bacone
Conway, Ark. – Playing for the first time in the 2022 calendar year, Central Baptist College women's basketball heads to Oklahoma tomorrow for a matchup with the Warriors of Bacone College. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m. from Muskogee and no live coverage will be available.
GAME NOTES
- CBC enters the contest 7-3 overall
- Bacone is 1-18
- The Warriors lead the all-time series 9-4 but CBC has won the last three in a row, including an 88-43 win in a game in Conway on Dec. 13
- In the win on Dec. 13, CBC put up a 31-point fourth quarter, which was just the fourth 30+ point quarter since women's basketball made the change in 2015
- Alexis Augustus (14.1) and Aminata Seck (12.9) are the two Mustangs averaging double figures scoring as CBC averages 70.8 points per game as a team on 37 percent shooting from the field, 30 percent from three and 71 percent at the free throw line
- Seck is the leading rebounder as well, grabbing 9.2 of the team's 43.3 rebounds per game
- Augustus also leads the team in assists per game, handing out 2.7 per contest
- CBC is committing 15 turnovers per game while forcing 20.2
- Defensively, opponents are averaging 55.3 points per game on 38 percent shooting from the field, 33 percent from three and 54 percent at the charity stripe while only grabbing 33.7 rebounds per game
