Conway, Ark. – Coming off a dramatic win on Saturday night in the American Midwest Conference quarterfinals against Williams Baptist, Central Baptist College men's soccer heads to Batesville tomorrow for an AMC semifinal matchup against the #1 seeded Lyon Scots. Kickoff from Huser Field is scheduled for 1 p.m. and coverage can be found on cbcmustangs.com.
MATCH NOTES
- Lyon won the regular season meeting 3-0 in Conway back on Oct. 26
- This will be the second straight year that the Mustangs and Scots have met in the AMC tournament
- Lyon won last year's playoff meeting 3-1 in Batesville
- Nyasha Dube scored both goals in Saturday's win, including a game winner in the 110th minute
- Dube's goal was the second-latest goal ever in a Mustang playoff game
- Andrew Montoya had three saves on Saturday night
- Juan Araque and Paul-Florian Efang scored for Lyon in their 2-1 win over William Woods
- Carlos Carvalho and Diego Mendez had assists
- Dan Huff also had three saves in net for the Scots
