Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

Fulton, Mo. – Having wrapped up the American Midwest Conference regular season title and the #1 seed in next week's AMC Tournament, Central Baptist College was on the road tonight at Anderson Arena for an AMC tilt against the William Woods Owls. CBC (22-5, 12-1 AMC) never led, losing for the first time in 2024 by an 84-68 margin to WWU (17-8, 9-4 AMC).

Sage Borbon and Deshawn Corprew finished in double figures for the Mustangs with 23 and 13, respectively. CBC made more three-pointers (seven) and free throws (25) than Woods (6 & 14), but struggled shooting the basketball, making just 33 percent of their shots compared to 53 percent for the Owls.

CBC wraps up the regular season on Saturday at the Petty SRC in St. Louis against Missouri Baptist. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m.
