#MustangsWWWWWWWWWWin! CBC Sweeps Hannibal For 10th Straight Win!

Hannibal, Mo. – Playing for the first time in seven days, and beginning a stretch of four games in the next seven days, Central Baptist College men's basketball took on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange tonight in an American Midwest Conference contest inside the Mabee Sports Center. CBC (19-4, 9-0 AMC) survived a tough environment, hanging on to a slight halftime lead to beat HLGU (6-13, 3-7 AMC) 79-69.
Sage Borbon led three Mustangs in double figures with 20 while Kyle Harding had 14 off the bench and Devin Foster chipped in with 11. The Trojans outshot the Mustangs 46 percent to 36 percent from the floor, but CBC went 21-26 at the free throw line, while HLGU was just 1-6 at the stripe.
GAME FLOW
The Trojans led for most of the first half, including three separate five points lead and were ahead 23-18 with 4:42 left in the first. CBC then went on an 8-0 run to grab a 26-23 lead and they held HLGU at bay, taking a 31-29 gap into halftime.
CBC opened the second half on a 5-2 run over the first 2:10 before the Trojans responded, using their own 6-0 run to put CBC down 37-36 with with 16:12 left. Two Tomas Mikyska free throws with 15:56 left put CBC back on top, 38-37, and sparked an 8-0 run that gave CBC a lead they would never relinquish, pushing the gap all the way to 58-43 before settling at the final tally.

CBC will look to extend the second longest winning streak in program history to 11 on Saturday when they take on the Hornets of Harris-Stowe at the Emerson Performance Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
