Peru, Neb. – Playing in their first game in the state of Nebraska since leaving the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference, Central Baptist College men's basketball was on the court tonight at the Wheeler Activity Center for their first game of the Heart-AMC Classic against Peru State. CBC (1-5) trailed by seven at halftime and couldn't reduce the deficit, falling 79-69 to PSC (2-5).
Kelvin Robinson led the way with 22 points while Jalen Adams contributed 18 off the bench and Jordan Parker chipped in with 12. The key stat in the game was rebounding margin, where Peru State was +16, including eight offensive rebounds, which led to 16 second chance points. Peru State also doubled up the Mustangs in points in the paint, outscoring them 44-22.
CBC is back in action in the Heart-AMC Classic tomorrow afternoon when they will take on the Ravens of Benedictine College in a rematch of last year's NAIA Opening Round game.
