Conway, Ark. – Throwing the ball in the air for the first time this season, Central Baptist College volleyball hosted the Blue Mountain Christian University Topper to open the 2025 campaign. CBC (0-1) showed marked improvement throughout each set, falling 3-0 to BMCU (4-1) by scores of 13-25, 20-25 and 19-25.
Aubree Ruggles led the way with eight kills and a .286 hitting percentage while Adalyn Dura led with 12 assists in her debut in a Mustang uniform and Ava White had eight digs in her debut while Rylie Ciremele picked up four assisted blocks in her debut. BMCU had 39 kills, hit .235 and had nine aces while CBC had 26 kills, three aces and hit .084.
Next up for CBC is a trip to Marshall, Mo., this weekend for the MVC Viking Invitational. Friday's matches will be at 2 p.m. against the hosts, Missouri Valley, and 7 p.m. against Grand View.
