#MustangsWin! CBC Sweeps Champion Christian!

            Hot Springs, Ark. – Playing for the second time in three days, Central Baptist College volleyball took on the Tigers of Champion Christian College tonight at the Champion Community Center. CBC (5-6) swept through CCC (3-15) winning by scores of 25-17, 25-23 and 25-21

            Madeline Freeman led the way with 10 kills while also leading the squad with 16 assists for her second double-double of the season. Brooke Schmitz also had 12 assists while Kailee Walker led the defense with 10 digs. The Mustangs hit .225 and had 42 kills with an additional 14 service aces against the Tigers, who had 27 kills and 12 aces.

MUSTANG NOTES

  • CBC has never lost to Champion in 11 all-time meetings
  • This was CBC's second sweep of the season
  • Freeman's double-double helped her move further into the 500-500-500 club, a milestone she achieved on Tuesday night
  • Faith Stone had four aces and assisted Freeman on the lone block of the evening for the Mustangs
