Walnut Ridge, Ark. – Having not played in a week, Central Baptist College volleyball was back on the floor at the Southerland Mabee Center tonight for an American Midwest Conference clash with the Eagles of Williams Baptist. CBC (3-14, 1-5 AMC) came up short, falling 3-0 to WBU (6-18, 1-5 AMC) by scores of 20-25, 29-31 and 22-25.
Kylah Shumate posted her first career double-double, leading the way with 16 kills while also adding 16 digs. Molly Murphy had a double-double as well, her third of the season, leading the team with 36 assists and 12 digs. Kenzie Hanks added 15 kills to the mix and Mikayla Lawrence and Kailee Walker also had double figures in digs with 17 and 14, respectively.
CBC has added a new match on Saturday as they will head to Hot Springs to face the Tigers of Champion Christian. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
