Volleyball Drops Close Contest To Trojans

Hannibal, Mo. – Playing in their second American Midwest Conference road match in as many days, Central Baptist College volleyball took on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange this morning inside the Mabee Sports Complex. CBC (3-12, 1-4 AMC) had more kills, aces and points than HLGU (6-18, 3-3 AMC) but lost in four sets by scores of 21-25, 18-25, 25-13 and 23-25.
Two Mustangs posted double-doubles in the match, with Mikayla Lawrence notching 10 kills and 17 digs and Madeline Freeman registering 18 kills and 21 assists. The key stats were hitting percentage and service errors, both of which were owned by the Trojans, who outhit CBC .205 to .123 and had four service errors to 10 for the Mustangs.
