#MustangsWin! CBC Closes Regular Season With Victory Over Harris-Stowe!
Conway, Ark. – Looking to end the regular season on a high note, Central Baptist College volleyball hosted the Hornets of Harris-Stowe State in an American Midwest Conference contest this afternoon at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. CBC (11-15, 4-5 AMC) accomplished their goal, sending senior Reaven Seymore out in style with a sweep of the Hornets (3-15, 0-9 AMC).
Presley Hamric led the Mustangs in kills on the afternoon, all while not committing an error on any of her 24 attacks. CBC had 45 kills and hit .330 while holding Harris-Stowe to 26 kills and a hitting percentage of .125.
MATCH NOTES
- Hamric had 14 kills to give her 236 on the season, which moved her into a tie for 10th in a single-season
- Kylee Sabella had seven kills and extended her freshman record to 290
- Seymore was also perfect attacking the ball, with nine kills on 16 opportunities with out an error
- Molly Murphy's 19 kills gives her 770 on the season, 109 off the single-season record
- Mikayla Lawrence had 15 digs which gives her 465 on the season, third most ever in a season
- CBC now has 1,058 kills on the season, fifth most all-time and they are averaging 11.8 per set, which would be a record in the NAIA for the Mustangs
- CBC is hitting .164 this season, the highest since 2012 (.171)
- The Mustangs cross 1,000 assists as a team for just the fourth time ever
- CBC moved to 6-8 in three set matches this season and 7-0 all-time against Harris-Stowe State
