Swaim Qualifies for Pair of Finals at AMC Track & Field Championships

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference Track & Field Championships began today at Spartan Stadium and Ally Swaim was able to qualify for two events. Swaim will compete in the finals of both the 200-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles, the latter of which she is a three-time champion in.
Swaim posted the top time in the 100 hurdles, qualifying at 15.53, two-tenths of a second faster than the next closest competitor. Her time of 27.26 in the 200-meter prelims was good for the seventh fastest time and qualified her for tomorrow's final.
The AMC Track & Field Championship Final Day begins tomorrow and will feature Swaim in both the hurdles and the 200, Josh Brown in the men's 110-meter hurdles, Ashleigh Gross-Mitchell in the women's long jump and women's shot put, Jadon Price in men's long jump and shot put and Isaiah Stiger in the men's long jump.
