Pine Bluff, Ark. – Opening the 2024 season this afternoon on the road, Central Baptist College women's soccer was at the Pumphrey Soccer Complex for a match against the Golden Lions of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. CBC (0-1) trailed at halftime 3-0 before falling 4-0 to UAPB (1-1).
Josie Gelsthorpe made five saves in her first ever start in goal. Danna Lozano, Myndy Zamora and Jade Love all attempted shots on goal, but all of them were turned away.
CBC heads to Clarksville on Saturday for a contest against the Eagles of University of the Ozarks. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
