Conway, Ark. – Playing an American Midwest Conference contest at home for the second weekend in a row, Central Baptist College women's soccer hosted the Owls of William Woods this afternoon at Centennial Soccer Complex. CBC (4-6-1, 1-1 AMC) trailed 2-1 at the half and allowed one goal in the second half to lose 3-1 to WWU (4-6-1, 1-0 AMC).
Amanda Parreiras scored her sixth goal of the season in the 14th minute to tie the game at one on an assist from Erica Hawkins and Vitoria Loiola. William Woods scored in the third, 30th and 62nd minutes in the defeat. Jayme Selph had three saves in net and Bailey Walerczyk had one save.
The Mustangs are off until next Saturday when they play their first AMC road match of the season against the Cougars of Columbia College. Kickoff for that match is scheduled for noon.
