Conway, Ark. – Playing on the road for their third straight match, Central Baptist College women's soccer was at Warrior Field tonight for a mid-week tilt against Hendrix College. CBC (2-5-1) trailed 1-0 at halftime and 2-0 late before falling 2-1 to HC (4-0).
Amanda Parreiras was the goal scorer again for the Mustangs, with her fourth of the season coming in the 78th minute on a free kick. Hendrix grabbed the lead in the 23rd minute and added their second goal in the 72nd minute before Parreiras' goal cut the deficit in half. Ciara Bonner had a chance to tie in the 83rd minute, but the shot was turned away by Hendrix's keeper. Jayme Selph and Bailey Walerczyk split time in goal again, combining to make four saves.
Next up for the Mustangs is their final non-conference match of the season, a visit from Ecclesia on Tuesday afternoon at Centennial Soccer Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
