Blue Mountain, Miss. – Amanda Parreiras scored a pair of goals this afternoon for Central Baptist College women's soccer as they took on the Toppers of Blue Mountain College today at the BMC Sports Complex. Her goals were the only goals for CBC (2-4-1) in a 5-2 loss to BMC (3-3).
Parreiras' first goal came on a free kick from 35 yards out in the 25th minute to cut CBC's deficit at the time in half. Her second goal came on a chip from 17 yards away and the assist came from fellow newcomer and countrymate Vitoria Loiola in the 76th minute, giving Parreiras three goals on the season. BMC scored three goals in the first half to lead 3-1 and added goals in the 54th and 63rd minutes in the second half to provide the margin. Jayme Selph and Bailey Walerczyk both saw time in goal, combining for four saves.
CBC will be back in Conway on Thursday for an evening tilt with the Hendrix Warriors. Kickoff from Warrior Field is slated for 7 p.m.
