Hawkins' Goal Not Enough For Women's Soccer Against Jarvis Christian

            Hawkins, Texas – Heading to the state of Texas for the second time this season, Central Baptist College women's soccer took on the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian University. CBC (2-3-1) trailed 2-0 at halftime and tried to claw back, but came up short, falling to JCU (1-2) by a score of 3-1.

            Erica Hawkins netted her second goal of the season in the 74th minute on an assist from Vitoria Loiola. Jarvis Christian scored in the 14th, 28th and 62nd minutes for their three goals. Bailey Walerczyk started in net and made three saves while Jayme Selph played the second half and made six saves.

            Next up for women's soccer is a trip to Mississippi on Tuesday for a contest against Blue Mountain College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and live coverage can be found by visiting us on the web or following us on social media.
