Preview: Women's Soccer Home Opener vs. TAMUT

            Conway, Ark. – Returning to the field for the first time in six days, Central Baptist College women's soccer opens the home portion of the 2022 season tomorrow when they take on the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. and links to coverage can be found on cbcmustangs.com.

RECAPPING RANDALL

            A brace from Samara Hernandez and a goal from Erica Hawkins gave CBC their first win of the season, 3-2, over Randall last Saturday. The win was the first over Randall in the first meeting ever between the two squads.

PREVIEW THE EAGLES

  • CBC enters the contest 1-1-1 on the season
  • This will be the first meeting ever between the Eagles and the Mustangs
  • Hernandez leads the team in scoring with two goals so far
  • Hawkins leads the squad in assists with two
  • As a team, CBC has four goals in 15 shots on goal, while allowing seven goals in 22 attempts toward net
  • Jayme Selph has played the majority of minutes in goal, making 16 saves and posting a 2.25 GAA
  • TAMUT is 1-1 on the season
  • Trinity Rouse leads the Eagles in goals with three this season
  • Five players are tied for the assist lead with one apiece
  • As a team, TAMUT has scored eight goals on 22 shots on goal and have allowed two goals in nine shots on goal
  • Ivana Robinson has played the majority of minutes in net, making six saves and posting a 1.14 GAA
