Softball Sweeps First AMC Weekly Honors of the Season

            St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference presented their softball player and pitcher of the week for the first time this season and a pair of Central Baptist College players were the selections. Kori Truelove earned AMC Player of the Week while Ryleigh Keele nailed down AMC Pitcher of the Week honors.

            Truelove was 9-13 over the weekend at the LCU Invitational with five RBIs and three runs scored. She went 4-4 with a double against Louisiana Christian and 2-2 with a pair of doubles against LSU-Alexandria, both on Thursday.

            Keele threw a complete game shutout in Friday's win over Nelson. She limited the Lions to three hits while striking out six to secure a 3-0 win in the final game of the week.

            Softball is back in La., next weekend for the LSUA Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
