Columbia, Mo. – Moving into the winner's bracket of the American Midwest Conference tournament, Central Baptist College softball took on the Owls of William Woods this afternoon at the Antimi Softball Complex. CBC (32-20) got revenge on WWU (20-26) by beating the Owls in walk off fashion 1-0 to move into the semifinals!
A pitcher's dual broke out between Hannah Work and William Woods' Sarah Randermann. Work got the win, throwing a complete game shutout with six hits allowed and four Ks. The game remained scoreless until two outs in the bottom of the seventh, when Abi West hit a walk off solo home run over the right field fence to give CBC the win.
The Mustangs will matchup with the Comets of Cottey College tomorrow on the same field where Cottey ended CBC's season one year ago. First pitch is slated for 10 a.m.
