Palmer Makes History With Selection As AMC Athlete of the Week

            St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference announced their second cross country athlete of the week for the 2024 season today and for the first time ever a Central Baptist College runner was selected. Chris Palmer, a freshman from Greenbrier, earned the honor after posting a program record time in the Lyon Invitational this past weekend.

            Palmer finished second in the 27-man field, posting a program 5K record time of 17:55. He was the first runner in program history to eclipse the 18 minute mark in the 5K distance. Palmer and the cross country team will be back on course on the 28^th in Fayetteville at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival.
