Palmer Sets Record at Lyon 5K

            Batesville, Ark. – Running for the second time in less than a week, Central Baptist College cross country hit the course today for the Lyon Invitational. The event was a 5K for both men and women, with Chris Palmer competing on the men's side and Mackenzie Milligan, Lindsay Risner and Bay Davis running for the women.

            Palmer became the first Mustang ever to post a top-five finish, crossing the line second with a program 5K record time of 17:55.70, making him the first Mustang to eclipse 18 minutes in a 5K. Milligan was the top finisher on the women's side, crossing the line in 30:11.52 with Risner right behind her at 32:48.57 and Davis crossing at 34:43.24.

            CBC runs again in one week when they head to Searcy for the Steve Guymon Invitational, hosted by Harding University.
