Lopez Earns Sooner Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week

            Oklahoma City – For the first time in history, Central Baptist College has the Sooner Athletic Conference wrestler of the week. Alex Lopez, a recent addition to the Mustang wrestling squad, was selected as this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboards wrestler of the week.

            Lopez, a freshman from Van Buren, won both of his dual matches at last Thursday's Williams Baptist tri-dual. He defeated Major Watz of McMurry by a 16-1 technical fall to help the Mustangs win that dual before providing the only non-forfeit victory against Williams Baptist, defeating Clay Crain in a 9-1 decision at 149 pounds.

            Lopez and the Mustangs will be back on the mat this week at the Missouri Valley Open on Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.
