Wrestling Competes At Green County Showdown

            Bartlesville, Okla. – Competing for the second time this season, Central Baptist College wrestling was on the mat today at Oklahoma Wesleyan University for the Green County Showdown. CBC competed in four matches, losing to Oklahoma Wesleyan 34-12, Wayland Baptist 36-18, University of Saint Mary 52-3 and Bethany 35-6.

            Alejandro Mas and Darron Harvey won twice, while Antwon Singleton, Gregory Pierre-Louis, and Isaiah Hendrix all won as well. Mas's win were by fall over Chad Sakamoto of Oklahoma Wesleyan at the 6:50 mark and by fall over Gavin Armijo of Wayland Baptist at the 2:33 mark. Harvey's wins came by a 7-3 decision over Cody Adams of St. Mary and by forfeit against Wayland Baptist. Singleton, Pierre-Louis and Hendrix all won by forfeit as well while Harvey also scored an exhibition match win by fall over Bethany's Christopher Walker.

            Next up for CBC is the fourth annual CBC Mustang Invitational this Saturday at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse. The matches will begin at 9 a.m. and continue all day until each weight class is finished.
