Three Mustangs Place at Friends Invitational

            Wichita, Kan. – Returning to the mat for the first time in 2023, Central Baptist College wrestling was at the Friends Invitational today. Four wrestlers, David Corretjer, Isaiah Hendrix, Alejandro Mas and Darron Harvey, all competed today with Corretjer, Mas and Harvey all placing in their weight classes.

            Corretjer finished third at 125 pounds. He won his first two matches by fall before losing via injury default in the third match and having to medically forfeit the final match. Mas also finished third at 149 pounds, winning his first match by fall at the 2:23 mark, losing his second match, then he won the final two matches by fall to secure third. Harvey finished third at heavyweight, losing his first match by a 3-1 decision, winning his second match by a 9-3 decision, losing his third match by a 2-1 decision then securing third place by fall at the 1:23 mark.

            Wrestling is off until Tuesday when they head to Bartlesville, Okla., for the Oklahoma Shootout hosted by Oklahoma Wesleyan.
