Richer Makes History With Preseason Ranking

            Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released their top-25 team and individual preseason polls for wrestling today and for the first time ever, a Central Baptist College wrestling was amongst the individuals ranked. Christian Richer was ranked #19 at 165 pounds heading into this season.

            Richer finished second at 157 pounds last year in the American Midwest Conference and earned an at-large selection to the NAIA National Wrestling Championship. According to head coach Ken Prophete, this is the first time CBC has had a preseason ranking in an individual weight class although several wrestlers have been ranked during the season.

            Wrestling season begins on Nov. 5 in Williamsburg, Ky., at the Patriot Open hosted by University of the Cumberlands.
