Mustangs Fall to Spartans in AMC Dual

Conway, Ark. (Jan. 17, 2018) – Wrestling on their home mat for the first time in 2018, Central Baptist College hosted the Spartans of Missouri Baptist this evening in an American Midwest Conference dual. CBC won the first two matches of the night, but the Spartans proved to be too strong, ultimately winning the match 34-12.

Michael Cunningham (SO/Norcross, Ga.) and William Freeman (SO/Bryant, Ark.) both won their matches by fall. Cunningham's win in the 133-pound class came at the 2:34 mark and Freeman's win in the 141-pound class came at 1:39.

CBC returns to the mat this weekend, as they head to Marshall, Mo., for the Missouri Valley College Invitational. The tournament will begin at 2 p.m. on Jan. 19.
