Track Runs Final Meet Before AMC Championships

Magnolia, Ark. – Competing for the final time this spring before the American Midwest Conference Championship, Central Baptist College track was on course today at the Don Veach Invitational, hosted by Southern Arkansas University. Solomon Barnes, Josh Brown and Kortney Embry competed in a total of four events today for the Mustangs.

Barnes finished fifth in both the long jump and triple jump, posting a distance of 6.22 meters in the long jump and a 13.48 in the triple jump, setting a new program record. Brown and Embry ran both hurdling events. Brown ran a 16.04 in the 110 while Embry ran a 17.72. Brown then posted a time of 1:03.11 in the 400 while Embry posted a 1:03.34.

CBC will compete for the final time this season on April 30 and May 1 at the AMC Championship.
