CBC Draws With Missouri Baptist

Erik Holth, CBC Sports Information Director

Morrilton, Ark. – Needing a win to secure a top-four seed in the American Midwest Conference tournament, Central Baptist College men's soccer hosted the Spartans of Missouri Baptist University this afternoon at Doyne Davis Stadium. CBC (5-8-5, 1-1-5 AMC) got behind early, tied the game and kept it tied, drawing with MBU (6-4-5, 3-2-2 AMC) 1-1.

Daniel Pinkney scored his eighth goal of the season in the 31st minute to tie the match after MBU took the lead in the ninth minute. Jasper Gadellaa made three saves in goal, including two in the second half, to preserve a record fifth draw for CBC, breaking the previous record of four by the 2012 team.

CBC will be the number five seed and will take on William Woods next Saturday at 3 p.m. in the American Midwest Conference Quarterfinal at Firley Field in Fulton, Mo.
