Sioux Center, Iowa – Playing on the final day of the Pizza Ranch Classic, Central Baptist College men's soccer took on the Defenders of Dordt this afternoon at the Dordt Soccer Complex. CBC (1-4) went into halftime time tied at zero, but allowed four goals in the second half to fall 4-0 to DU (4-1).
Connor Sims made his first start in goal for the Mustangs and made nine saves. Joe McElhinney, who scored the first goal of the season yesterday, had the lone shot on goal for the Mustangs this afternoon.
Up next for CBC is a return home to Centennial Soccer Park on Thursday for a matchup with Blue Mountain. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m.
