Mustangs Drop Contest To Northwestern

            Orange City, Iowa – Playing in Iowa for the first time in 10 years, Central Baptist College was at the NWC Soccer Complex this afternoon for a contest against Northwestern College in the Pizza Ranch Classic. CBC (1-3) trailed 3-1 at the half and dropped the match 4-1 to NWC (2-1).

            Joe McElhinney scored the first goal of the season for the Mustangs, breaking a scoreless drought of over 200 minutes to start the year, on an assist from Manny Almaraz. The goal, which happened in the 13^th minute, knotted the score at one after the Red Raiders scored in the fifth minute to take the early lead. NWC would add goals in the 14^th and 18^th minutes before halftime and then would put the final goal into the net in the 47^th minute.

            CBC heads to Sioux Center Iowa tomorrow for the final game of the Pizza Ranch Classic against Dordt. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
