#MustangsWin! CBC Runs Winning Streak To Five With Shutout of Ecclesia

Bentonville, Ark. – Stepping out of American Midwest Conference play for a midweek tilt, Central Baptist College men's soccer was at the Sugar Creek Complex tonight for a matchup with the Royals of Ecclesia College. The match went into halftime scoreless, but CBC (8-1-1) netted three goals in the second half to win 3-0 over EC (0-7) and run their winning streak to five straight.
Daniel Pinkney, Daniel Mondragon and Chris Orellana were the goal scorers. Bradley Turnage added a pair of assists and Pinkney had one of this own. Pinkney's goal in the 55th minute, on Turnage's first assist, broke the scoreless deadlock followed 10 minutes later by Mondragon's goal on an assist from Turnage and Pinkney. Then, in the 76th minute, Orellana stepped up and converted a penalty kick after Turnage was taken down in the box to seal the scoring. CBC took 14 shots on goal to just one for Ecclesia.

- The win was the third in three meetings all-time for the Mustangs over the Royals

- Pinkney's goal gave him 10 on the season and makes him just the fifth player in program history with double-digit goals in a season

- Pinkney's assist gave him 12 on the season, moving him within five of Sabelo Hlongwane's single-season record

- Pinkney has now earned 32 points this season, tying him for sixth in a season all-time
- Mondragon has 18 points this season and 44 for his career, a mark that puts him sixth all-time
- Pinkney has 28 shots on goal this season, three off the single-season record since shots on goal started tracking in 2011
- Jasper Gadellaa earned his second career shutout tonight and dropped his GAA to 1.28 on the season
