Conway, Ark. – Returning home for just the second time this season, Central Baptist College men's soccer was on the field at Centennial Soccer Park this morning for an 11 a.m. match with the Wildcats of Louisiana Christian. CBC (5-1-1) was never threatened, scoring twice in the first half and once in the second to cruise to a 3-1 win over LCU (3-2-1) for their first win at home of the season.
Cameron Gordon, George Caudwell and Daniel Pinkney had the goals for CBC while Pinkney and Daniel Mondragon both had two assists each with Chris Orellana adding an assist of his own. Jasper Gadellaa went the whole way in net for his fifth win, making four saves on the day.
MUSTANG NOTES
- The win was the sixth all-time in nine meetings with Louisiana Christian
- CBC also improved to 4-0 this season when scoring three goals or more and 84-7-2 all-time in that scenario
- Gordon's goal, his fifth of the season, came in the fifth minute on assists from Pinkney and Mondragon
- Caudwell's goal came in the 18th minute on a one-time finish on a pass from Pinkney
- Pinkney's goal came in the 62nd minute on assists from Mondragon and Orellana
- The win avenged a 4-3 loss last season in Pineville, La.
- CBC has now scored 19 goals in seven matches this season, tracking near the pace of last year's 56 goal campaign

- Jeronimo Larrain Oli had LCU's goal in the 73rd ninute
- Martin Hernandez faced three shots on goal and allowed them all to pass him
