#MustangsWin! Gordon's Brace Leads CBC Past Hendrix!

            Conway, Ark. – Playing their first game in-state this season, Central Baptist College men's soccer took on the Warriors of Hendrix College Monday night at Warrior Field. CBC (3-0) got a pair of first half goals and a third goal in the second half to cruise to a 3-1 win over HC (0-1-1).

            Cameron Gordon and Dan Pinkney were the goalscorers for the Mustangs while Pinkney, Gordon and Callum Bisset all had assists. Jasper Gadellaa played the first 78 minutes in goal to earn the win, making one save, and Tyler Norris played the final 12 minutes without facing a shot.

            Gordon's first goal came in the 13th minute on an assist from Pinkney to make the score 1-0 and he followed with another goal on the assist from Bisset in the 26th minute to give CBC a 2-0 lead headed to halftime. Five minutes into the second half, Pinkney received a pass from Gordon and slotted it into the net to make it 3-0 before Hendrix scored in the 57th minute to bring the game final.

            Up next for CBC is the home opener on Friday afternoon against the Eagles of Texas A&M-Texarkana. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. and you can find all the links to coverage online and on our social media pages.
