Moore, Okla. – Playing for the second straight Saturday on the road, Central Baptist College men's soccer took on the Saints of Randall University this afternoon. CBC (2-0) jumped out to a 4-1 lead early and never looked back, dispatching RU (0-1) by a score of 4-2.
Daniel Mondragon scored twice and had an assist while Daniel Pinkney scored a penalty and Joe McElhinney netted a goal for the first time this season. Pinkney had two assists in the contest as well and CBC also got assists from Andrea Migliozzi and the returning assist leader from last season, Callum Bisset.
The Mustangs wasted no time going ahead as Mondragon scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Pinkney and Migliozzi to make it 1-0 in the third minute. Pinkney's PK came in the 14th minute and made it 2-0. Mondragon's second goal was on a corner kick by Bisset and CBC wrapped the scoring with a header from McElhinney on assists from Mondragon and Pinkney.
CBC has a short turnaround, as they will be back on the pitch in Conway for a Monday matinee with Hendrix. Kickoff from Warrior Field on Monday night is scheduled for 5 p.m. and links to coverage will be available on social media and the web!
