Mondragon Named AMC Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
St. Louis, Mo. – For the first time this season in men's soccer, Central Baptist College has had a player selected as an athlete of the week by the American Midwest Conference. Dan Mondragon was named AMC offensive player of the week after helping lead the Mustangs to a pair of wins.
Mondragon scored two goals and had an assist on the week, all which helped CBC extend their current unbeaten streak to eight in a row. The second of his two goals on Tuesday at Williams Baptist was a golden goal, giving CBC a 4-3 victory, their first win over WBU since 2017. On Saturday at William Woods, Mondragon provided the winning assist to Andrea Migliozzi as CBC scored three second half goals in a comeback 3-1 win over the Owls. He's the first Mustang since Nyasha Dube last season to be selected as Offensive player of the week. Congratulations Dan!
