Mustangs Finish Fifth At AMC Championship

Melbourne, Ark. – Beginning the final 18 holes in fourth place, Central Baptist College men's golf looked to make a charge in the final round of the AMC Championship at Cooper's Hawk Golf Club in Melbourne. CBC closed with a final round 314 to finish in fifth place, 18 strokes behind the champions, Columbia.
Juan Miranda had the low round for the Mustangs, shooting a 75 to finish tied for sixth. Eliseo Campos also broke 80, shooting a 78 while Preston Nesterenko shot an 80, Lucas Alemparte and Gustavo Bello both shot 81s, Cooper Hermann shot an 82 and Kolt Carden shot an 86. At the conclusion of the tournament, Hermann earned selection onto the AMC second team while Carden, Miranda and Nesterenko all earned honorable mentions with Miranda earning the Champion of Character.
