Mustangs in Fifth After 36 Holes At SCU Invitational

            Oklahoma City – With a lot of new faces hitting the course at Earlywine Golf Club for the first time, Central Baptist College men's golf teed off today at the Southwestern Christian Invitational to open the 2025-26 campaign. CBC shot rounds of 318 and 306 and sit in fifth place, 20 shots off the lead heading into the final round.

            Individually, Cooper Hermann led the way for the Mustangs firing back-to-back 75's to put himself in sixth place, nine shots behind the leader. Juan Candil, making his Mustang debut, is tied for eighth after two rounds, shooting a 77 and 75. Gustavo Bello, who is competing as an individual, was next with scores of 75 and 81, followed by Kolt Carden, who went 84 and 76, Ottavio Lutterotti, who shot 82 and 80, Eliseo Martinez, who shot 84 and 81 and the other individual, Jase Holder, who shot an 85 and an 82.

            The final 18 holes tee off tomorrow at 8 a.m.
