CBC Finishes Third At Scots Fall Invitational

Batesville, Ark. – Entering the final round just five shots off the lead in fifth place, Central Baptist College men's golf began pursuit of their second straight tournament win today in the final round of the Scots Fall Invitational at Eagle Mountain Golf Club. CBC shot a final round 290 but it wasn't enough as they finished in third place, still five shots behind the winners from Mississippi University for Women.
Individually, Jakub Slapal closed with a 70 to finish at 144 in a tie for third, capturing the third place medal in a playoff. Kitsakon Jairak finished tied for fifth after closing with a 71 as well to finish at 145 while Leopold Maes finished in a tie for eighth after shooting his second straight 73 to finish at 146. Preston Nesterenko improved one shot, shooting a final round 76 to finish at 153 and Suraprat Pareepart closed with an 81 for an overall 164. Emmanuel LaBeur and Joaquin Ali both competed as individuals and flipped their scores, with LaBeur shooting a 77 and Ali shooting a 76 to both finish also at 153.
The Mustangs tee off their final tournament of the fall on Oct. 16 in Chickasaw, Tenn., at the Freed-Hardeman Fall Invitational.
