Mustangs In Sixth After Round One at SCU Fall Invitational

Oklahoma City – Competing for the first time in the 2023-24 season, Central Baptist College men's golf was on the course today for the first round of the Southwestern Christian Fall Invitational. CBC shot an opening round 295 and sits in sixth place, 16 shots off the opening round lead.
Individually, Leopold Maes led the Mustangs with an opening round 70 to put himself into a tie for fourth place. Kitsakon Jairak shot an opening round 72 to find himself inside the top-10 while Jakub Slapal shot a 75, Suraprat Pareepart shot a 78 and Joaquin Ali shot an 82. Paul Gomez and Preston Nesterenko and Emmanuel LaBeur all competed as individuals, with Gomez and Nesterenko both shooting 76's (Nesterenko in his debut) while LaBeur shot an 81.
The Mustangs play the final round beginning tomorrow at 8 a.m.
