Mustangs Finish Fourth At MBU Invitational

Alton, Mo. – Entering the final round in second place, two strokes off the lead, Central Baptist College men's golf looked to make a charge for the win at the MBU Invitational on the Spencer Olin Golf Course. CBC finished the second round with a 312, the same score they shot in the first round, for a total of 624, in fourth place, 10 shots behind the champions from Iowa Western Community College.
Individually, Leopold Maes guided the Mustangs, shooting a total of 151 to finish in fourth place, six shots behind the winner. Emmanuel LaBeur finished in a tie for 13th with a score of 155 while Kitsakon Jairak finished with a 157, Suraprat Pareepart finished with a 162 and Jakub Slapal finished with a 165. Joaquin Ali, who competed as an individual, finished with a 165.
CBC is on the course for the final time next week at the American Midwest Conference championship at Big Creek Golf and Country Club in Mountain Home.
